Default What is your Longest Journey on Train?


Ok.., My longest rail journey was in India from Gorakpur to Goa which was 3432 Km and took 3 days to reach the destination.

my longest journey by train was from delhi to manipal....it took me around 3.5 days.....it was really hectic too

Mine wasn't that long! Can't travel on train for more than 3 hours. It's driving me nuts. I get sick and I feel like vomiting all the time. LOL! I don't like small boats either.

I love taking trains to save money and going low and slow you get to see more of the country.
I did Saigon to Nha Trang on a overnight sleeper.

Bangkok to Malaysia on a sleeper. The next time I am going to go all the way to Singapore!

But the longest and the most fun was......
Xian to Lhasa Tibet took 36 hours and climbed to over 5000 meters. The train averaged about 90 KM an hour on the Tibet plain, not sure how many miles that was.
