Try the normal travel sites. hotwire, orbits and travelocity all have decent rooms in the 150 a night range.

I use Priceline frequently and am satisfied with the accomodations and prices.

priceline.com is your best shot but there are very few cheap hotels.

Maybe try a bed& breakfast or a hotel in one of the outer boroughs. Nothings cheap in Manhattan

Check out hostels in NYC. Amsterdam Street has one or two.
