When looking for a hotel in Chicago or New York or Tokyo or any major city there are three key words:NiceCheapCentralYou can get any two of those three words.If its Nice and Cheap, its not central.If its Nice and Central, its not cheap.If it Cheap and Central, it is not nice.

Depends on how cheap a hotel is. Hotel in New York starts off at $200 a night and go up from there. Check the link below for hotel rates in New York City.Enjoy you trip and happy new year

Try On the Ave. We are from NYC, but moved to Buffalo. I stayed there after moving for a business convention. It was nice, clean and near Broadway and the 1,9 trains. Oh and it was cheap as far as NYC hotels go.

I stayed in the Edison Hotel just off Times Square a few years ago. The rooms were quite basic, but it was clean and reasonably priced. Great views from the windows too!

Park Savoy Hotel, W. 57th, within walking distance to Times Square and Central Park. Rooms are clean, and it's cheap.
