I'm planning a trip to NYC with my fiance, ive been there once before but I was young so dont remember much. What I do remember is we stayed in a new jersey city VERY close to New York, we did this because it was a nice hotel for a cheaper price. BUT I cant remember the name of the city can somebody help? Also would like to know which airplane line you recommend going through. Also this city in NJ does it have a subway that can lead you into NYC?
a new jersey city? lolWas it Jersey City? Doubt it though, a nice hotel wouldn't really be in Jersey City. How about Hoboken, was it there? Hoboken is nice and it's right on the Hudson River.I'm pretty sure there's quick transportation to and from NYC in Hoboken.Umm... if that's not it, I can try naming more. Just post your response in "add details" and I'll come back to this question.
The closet airport to Jersey City is Newark Liberty International Airport near the city of Newark, NJ. Most major airliners serve that airport. There are many hotels to stay in Jersey City, such as the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Doubletree and Courtyard by Marriott not so sure which offers sweet deals. The PATH subway system provides service, to The World Trader Center Site in Lower Manhattan and towards 33rd Street in Midtown Manhattan.http://www.pricerighthotels.com/hotels/Jersey_City/NJ/USAhttp://www.jerseycity.choicehotels.comhttp://www.destinationjerseycity.comhttp://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/path/htmlhttp://www.njtransit.com
I never think of Newark as being nice, but it's super-close to Manhattan via public transportation. There are certain tons of hotels near Newark (Liberty) Airport.
fly into newark and for a hotel you could try super 8 in north bergen the bus stops right in front. jersey city has some hotels near the path (jersey version of a subway into the city) sheraton has a hotel in weehawken across the street from a ferry to use to get into the city. or use a hotel in ft lee take a bus into port authority or take a jitney across the bridge and use the subway. Good Luck
New Jersey has a lot of cities. It was most likely Jersey City or Hoboken. Why don't you just start from Scratch? Stay in Hoboken. Find a hotel there. You can take either the path or the ferry in to Manhattan. Since Hoboke is so small and compact you would most likely be able to walk right from your hotel to the terminal or train station. Fly into Newark Airport. If you end up flying into La Guardia or JFK then don't stay in Jersey. Stay in Brooklyn or Queens. Find your self a hotel near an express subway stop. Good luck!
