I need a hotel that's near the train station that will take me into New York city, preferably cheap. Thanks!

that would depend on a lot...do you need to go uptown (GW Bridge) midtown (Lincoln Tunnel) downtown/Canal St (Holland Tunnel)?There are more trains that will take you into midtown/downtown as opposed to uptown. So, you can stay at places in Hoboken, Jersey City, or Newark NJ. All three have trains that will take u into the city. You will probably have the most luck in Jersey City as far as price and trains.
