| Where and what is a good, cheap hotel, in New York, with lots of great sights to see wuthin walking distance? Have you tried the discount travel sites? www.expedia.comwww.hotwire.comwww.priceline.comYou can usually find something good through one of them. It will be hard to find a hotel with lots of great things to see within walking distance though. NYC is quite large and there is alot to do. Don't discount using the busses, they are great for getting from one place to another. Another is the subway. Buy a metrocard and you can use it for the bus and subway. You can see alot in Central Park if you get a hotel near there. The Empire state building is pretty expensive to go to the top, check it out online. They have prices and I believe you can purchase the tickets online.Have a great time! |

Accommodation prices are a little higher around that time of year and you might find it hard to find available rooms. Time Square is a good central location. I've stayed at the Edison Hotel before (right on broadway, walking distance to Rockefeller Plaza, Empire State Building), it was pretty cheap and I was happy with the room and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Wellington is also a good hotel but a little more expensive. Have a great time. |
