Go to petfriendly.com. It gives you a whole list of hotels that take animals.

Many of the extended stay places accept animals. Check expedia or one of the other travel booking sites to figure it out and to decide what "cheap" is for you. You'll probably have to pay a non-refundable animal fee (or 'deposit' as they will call it) and you'll have to take special precautions to make sure that the maid doesn't let the cat out.
