most people try going during the winter so that's peak - also note when hurricane is prevelant in the gulf area ... not shockingly, that is the "low" season. Hurricane season is June to November ... if you like a little culture, be sure to check out the pyramids further inland.

There's some good tips here from others about when to travel to Cancun. Maybe you'd like to compliment this information on Cancun with these sites:Mexico information on travel :http://www.tourismrankings.com/Mexico/ This site links you to the official National Tourism site for Mexico. It has a lot of great research and info on Cancun plus you can send them an email to help you if you need it.Cancun Accomodations :http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com/Mexico/Cancun/This is a great site where you can sort the hotels by location , price, star rating and then check out the pictures and descriptions. There are other sites, but i think you might find this assist you.The Spanish / Mexican version is here:http://www.hotelsespanol.com/Mexico/Cancun/For flights, you are best to do this locally in LA online or through a travel agent. Tip - never book overseas hotels on a US based site - they are generally more expensive - that's why i gave you the above link, which soes have a help desk based in the US, however.
