Default Los Angeles hotel/motel/motor inn less than $60/night?

I am visiting LA next year and am trying to find a cheap but cheerful place to stay. Preferred location would be West Hollywood, but will consider surrounding areas if the price and location are ok! When I was last in LA I stayed at the Fairfax Hotel for next to nothing, but now it seems to have turned into a rest home for old folks?!

If there is I wouldn't saty there!!!It will probably be a flop house. My friend just got back with a horror story. A prostitute got beaten within inches of her life and raped in the room next door, and the cops wouldn't do jack. Then she called some other hookers over to blow cocaine all night long. Pay the extra $40 a night and be safe.

Try priceline.com and name your own price. I generally get places for under $60 in LA. Expect to pay more in pricer neighborhoods.
