Los Angeles Hotels? Most of the LAX hotels are for transit passengers (and are therefore, quite cheap). You'll have to endure airplane noises throughout the night, however.- You can go for Howard Johnson, Best Western, or Holiday Inn for around $80-90. Those are all reasonably clean. Best Western and Holiday Inn usually does have internet access. You'll have to ask about wireless though, they'll often have only cable. Howard Johnson is more hit-and-miss.- Days Inn, Super 8, and Econo are cheaper at around $60-70, but they're pretty spartan and unkept. I can't recommend them in good conscience. As a fashionable beach town, Santa Monica is considerably more expensive than LAX. Even the lousy motels are pretty much all over $100, and the good hotels are $250 plus. If you're a budget traveller, Santa Monica is not the place to go. |
