I'm sure you're going to get loads of links from posters about the cool stuff in town (Lion Habitat, Shark Reef, etc.) but also consider Red Rock State Park. It's only twenty minutes west of the strip. Sometimes a kid just has to cut loose of the crowds of big people, and go somewhere to climb rocks, run around, and get dirty.
