We will be in downtown Chicago during 12/29-31. Are there cheaper options to hotel valet parking? Parking costs in the loop are ridiculous. Seriously, I agree with the other two answers. If you don't have to park in Chicago...DON'T. I had to do business at the county building the other day and it set me back $28 for an hour and a half! I get to let the client pay it as a reimbursible...the next time I went I took the trains (CTA).If you are driving to the city one of the best places you can leave your car is at the CTA park and ride at Cumberland and the Kennedy (I-90) near O'Hare, and take the blue line in. Busses will get you anywhere. And they have free trolleys to get you to the tourist areas, museums, Navy Pier, Michigan Avenue. And right now the Wendella Boat Taxis are free thanks to Gannie Mae (and free samples!)If you want to rent a car consider using I-Go cars, hybrids you can rent by the hour. If you need a car and you need it near your hotel, you'll pay for it. The rant Park Garages might be 'cheaper' but they have upped their rates since their renovations, too, |
