Default Why did the price of my school's crappy dorms go up, yet the level of crappiness remains the same?

ok in rural texas, my college is making $1300/month off of ONE dorm, that doesn't have a stove or refrigerator. NOT to mention that they charge us 2 months worth or rent that we don't even stay there the whole month. we're only there half of august and half of may yet they charge us full price. i know prices of everything is rising, but those dorms WERE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED TO BEGIN WITH. this is how the dorm is: imagine half of a hotel room...that's the dorm size. then imagine having to share that room with another person. uhh NOT WORTH IT. btw if you don't live in rural tx, the prices are extremely cheap, especially for the condition of the dorms. i know ppl who rent really nice 4 bedrooms here for less than $400 a month

A. Inflation.B. Students are easy marks. The cheapest way to get higher ed. is to do two years at a community college and then transfer to a good state university. So why do almost 50% of students start at a university, and significant numbers of those at private colleges where tuition is $20K or more yet the quality is not demonstrably better?

I don't understand your last part: "btw if you don't live in rural tx, the prices are extremely cheap, especially for the condition of the dorms. i know ppl who rent really nice 4 bedrooms here for less than $400 a month."Do you mean they can get offcampus housing for that cheap? If so, why aren't you doing that?
