I use hotels.com or travelocity. However, you can also use hotwire or priceline. The only problem w/ using those two sites is you don't know which hotel they are going to give you. They decribe it and show you how many stars it has, but you won't know the name of the property until you purchase, however you can get REALLY good deals!

There are literally hundreds of hotels in the Orlando area, and picking the best one all depends on your specific needs. If you're looking for places closer to Universal Studios, then go with a hotel on International Drive. If you'll be at Disney, then pick a place in Kissimmee. One of the best ways to decide is by reading reviews by folks who have stayed in the area. The largest such place is http://www.tripadvisor.com/If you'll be at Disney, you might want to consider Meridian Maingate ( http://www.resideo.com/us/florida/kissimmee/79382412.hotel ) -- rates are pretty good for what you get.Have fun!

Just reading the answers to your question makes me wonder why many people think they can do it themselves (without a travel agent). It shows there is still great value in what we provide (at no charge to you).Stop in and visit your local travel agent. They will tell you what hotels are convenient. Why you might want to pay a few dollars more and save a lot of money in the end with transport back and forth and aggravation of traffic. They have hotels in all price ranges.

I just search for "orlando hotels" and a huge list comes up. Why would anyone use a travel agent who gets a commission? It's much easier to do research yourself rather than having the agent suggest what he thinks is best. The hotels have pictures you can look at and tells how far it is from each attraction. A good hotel (price wise) is Comfort Suites. But there are tons of hotels you can look at. Embassy Suites is another hotel we like to stay at. There are several in the Orlando area.
