Default Going to DW June 12-17 with our 4 y/o needing info on best place to stay & transportation?

Have Flight with ALLEGIANT and arriving at the Orlando-Sanford International and was thinking of staying in a nice but cheaper hotel that night as we will be getting in at 9:55pm so we will need a car to get from there to DW correct? - very reasonable but my husband rented car through them as well with Alamo and he didn't read the fine print. I'm not sure about it and if we can cancel it or not but I need all of your advice. We took our kids in 1997 and they were way to old and I have guardianship of this grandson and think 4 years of age is great. I need to find the best place to stay that he as well as my husband and I will enjoy. My grandson loves trains and I was looking at a suite that has a kitchenette to help cut down on the price of meals but will we use it that much? I was wanting a free breakfast buffet and some kind of child care so that my husband and I could spend at least one night without him but I have trouble trusting. Would love all the advice I can get! HELP!We already have a car rented to get from Orlando/Sanford airport and we couldn't pass up the price it costs to take this flight ($534 Round Trip for 3), so we have transportation and I'm thinking that even if we get a kitchenette, we probably will not cook much because we will be tired and will not actually use it. So forget the kitchenette. Now that we have a car for transportation anyway do you all still feel that it will still be worth it to stay on-site? I do understand why? My grandson just turned 4 and is in to trains big time - so is there anywhere that has the kids suite with a train set-up? I do want the kids activities as I do see a couple that he would really enjoy. Now with all this new info - let's say even if we pick one of the most expensive places to stay - where would it be???? We only get to do this once so I want to make it good for all of us. I also want to take him to Sea World.

The Nickelodeon Family Suites sounds like the place for your accommodations. This place is crazy fun for the kids and parents as well. The location is great because it is just a few minutes from Disney and also a few minutes from I-4 which will take you to the other theme parks. The nice thing is that you can have your kitchen to cook and your little guy can have his own pint size suite to call his own.The Sanford Airport is about 45 mins away so it was wise that your husband took the rental car because you will need it to get around. If you need to delay your check in time and need something around the Sanford area stick with the hotels on hwy 17/92.You can also check with where you will be staying to see if you check in once you arrive. Many places will pro-rate you for late check-ins after 10 pm

I strongly recommend you consider staying at a Disney Resort. Disney has an excellent selection of resorts of many different themes, room sizes, and budgets. The benefits of staying on-site far outweigh staying off-site. Here are some of the benefits you get by staying with Disney:- Free Transportation to ALL Disney Parks & Attractions- Free Airport Transportation (Orlando International Airport)- Extra Park Hours for Resort Guests Only- Full Service Concierge/Information Desk at ALL Resorts- And of course, the Full Disney Experience!Unfortunatly since you are coming into the Sanford Airport you will not have airport transportation, Disney only offers airport transportation and luggage services to Orlando's main airport which is Orlando International Airport. But you will still have access to all the other unbeatable amenities. Here is a direct link to the official WDW website where you can browse through all the parks, resorts, and book your reservations:http://www.disneyworld.comHope that helps. Have Fun!

You might think about a Downtown Disney resort. They are excellent hotels within walking distance of Downtown Disney, with most of the Disney resort benefits, including transportation to the parks. I think one or two may have the kitchenettes you mentioned, as well as the Disney Vacation Club Villas. The villas would actually put you on property where you could be to the parks and enjoy the resort amenities. Wilderness Lodge Resort also has many options for guests.

I would stay at an All-Star resort and arrange transport from airport to hotel on the Disney Magical express. It is a free shuttle to and from the airport. Also, if you stay on the ground, you will not need to rent a car to go to the parks. The all star resorts are the cheapest but still nice and clean. It'll save you a few bucks a night too.
