What is the halfway point between Boston MA and Orlando FL?

Also, any recommendations for hotels-motels in that area? Clean, but cheap.

Best choice is Atlanta, Ga, you can get reasonable prices from Delta and Air Tran whose hubs are there. As for hotels/motels, just go to any hotel chain sites and check for deals

It isn' exactly mid-way, but close: Washington DC. The museums are free! Stay in Arlington, VA to save some cash - it is still on the Metro - which is also cheap and clean - you won't need to rent a car! Great restaurants in Georgetown and if you are a history or poli-sci buff, there is no equal in the US.

I think it is Rocky Mount NC if you are driving (on the other side of the Virginia border).
