17-year old travelling (PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!)? Okay I would bring about $1,000 spending money for a two week stay. Hostels are going to run a little more than you are used to. I would check out this site:http://www2.couchsurfing.com/This site is called Couchsurfing and what it is, is a network of people from all over the world that will open up their homes to you and let you stay for FREE either on their couch, extra bed, or floor. It is free to join and you can do a search by city and contact people that will match your personality. There are profiles listed letting you know what kind of accommodations normally you host will take you out on the town and show you what locals do; I know I try every time I host someone. I have never had an issue with couchsurfing, I have never been endangered and I have never had a bad person stay. My friends have also traveled the world sleeping on people’s couches and they have never had an issue. I would give it a try, cheap and a great way to meet people. There are several hostels in NY City, they are not as cheap as the hostels in Europe, or Asia but, they are cheaper than hotels and motels here. These are some websites that I use to book US Hostels, you can compare prices, and they give you a description and review of the property. I have found all of the sites really useful, since most US Hostels do not have websites:http://www.hostels.com/en/us.ny.ny.htmlhttp://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/usa/new-york-city/http://hostelhandbook.com/usa/nynyc.htmhttp://gonyc.about.com/od/hostels/New_York_Hostels.htmHere are some hostels that I would recommend in NYC:BIG APPLE HOSTEL119 West 45th StreetNew York, NY 10036(212) 302-2603info@bigapplehostel.com www.bigapplehostel.com Located in the Heart of the Famous Broadway Theatre District.Only Minutes from Times Square.
