Default Best Hotel In Montreal?!?

I am traveling to Montreal this January and was wondering where the best hotel was. I would like some place that is not too expensive, but also not a place that is not too cheap. A hotel that is near a lot of nice places to eat, and clubs and bars to go to. I am really interested in finding a hotel that is in a nice part of town, and also near the night life. All suggestions and info are welcome, thank you!

check on spincitytravel.com. Type in Montreal in hotels and you will get a list of all the hotels in the area with star ratings, prices and guest feedback. You can book right from there.

Default Best Hotel In Montreal?!?

I stayed in an amazing hotel in Montreal this summer called Hotel place d'Armes. It is in old Montreal across from the famous Notre Dame Cathedral. It is a boutique hotel. It was a historic building (actually more than just one) that is totally modernized. It is so cool. Our room was HUGE! Service was amazing. They have a hamman steamroom (cool), free wine and cheese in the late afternoon. LOVED the place and it wasn't outrageously expensive. You should be able to negotiate a good rate in January. We could walk to old Montreal and to the shopping area(Catherine St) and also to the bar areas. It was a good walk but I was wearing very uncomfortable shoes and could still do the distance there and back. I can give you some restaurant and bar names if you want.

There are many nice hotels in Montreal. I recommend phoning the Tourist-Information hotline for Quebec (its free from Canadian/US land lines) at 1-877-BONJOUR. I worked there this summer and they really have a lot of information about hotels and even provide a booking service (with often discounted prices). Also check out reviews of hotels from other travelers online at www.tripadvisor.com
